Nicely decorated room and balcony right next to it. Breakfast also enjoyable.

What was the highlight of Islander House on Rocky Cay Beach

Great property & location, just needs a good clean!

To be totally honest, when we first arrived at the property I was a bit surprised by the state of it. We were greeted by the owner who told us to take a walk on the beach that the property backed onto while we waited for the room to be ready. I say a beach it was a bit of sand filled with rubbish. When we got to our room, we stayed in the loft, it was a beautiful space with a beautiful balcony & view. When we went to go to bed, we noticed hairs in all the bedding, luckily there were 2 beds in the room so we decided to sleep in the other one. The bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned, again hairs everywhere and everywhere needed a scrub. Breakfast was good, great pancakes! Or arepa with scrambled eggs, served with fresh fruit , juice & coffee. The location was good, right next to rocky cay beach & was a taxi ride/ bus into town which took about 15mins, you can wave down a bus easily on the main road at any point (there are no bus stops). Taxi cost 30,000 pesos from airport and 30,000 into town too. Bus cost 2000 pesos into town. After going around the island and generally seeing other accommodation options, this was probably one of the better options, at the end of the day, it was in a good location & nice property once you get past the lack of cleaning.

The whole property/ area surrounding the property could do with a deep clean/ clear up.

The place was wonderful. Made you feel in ypur own vacation island home. Breakfast was exceptional. Had tge pleasure to meet the owners. Very welcoming and friendly. Rooms where as pictured. Nothing bad to say on this stay.

a lovely beach house with everything you need to be comfortable

the location is excellent!! just a short 5’ walk and you will be in one of the most beautiful beaches of San andres, with the amazing sea and calm an privacy (and good cocktails by allxc). the staff is really nic and friendly, Aracely is very kind and Maria Victoria is amazing. you have access to the kitchen and the fridge so you can cook and keep your water or stuff refrigerated. the best thing: Lulu!! the most lovely and cute cat nice clean sheets, good space in the room, ventilators (is not a problem bcoz the house has good air currents thanks to the windows) and good breakfast

I loved everything. the only note is if you are afraid (or phobia) of crabs, maybe is not the place for you (they are afraid of humans so they won’t do anything to you) bcoz at night you can see them in the yard, and it’s normal in the island

The view from the room was amazing. The room was big and the bed was comfortable.

The shower did not work well. There was no hot water or pressure in shower.

We really liked our stay, the house is authentic islander house. It was fun to watch crabs in the backyard. Very close to the beach. There lives an incredible cat Lulu. She is the sweetest cat I ever met, so loving and caring. We will miss her a lot!

Cold water in the shower, it seems like it's everywhere on the island

Great and peaceful place near to beaches, near to take any transportations from the avenue

Location of the place is amazing too close to one of the best beach rocky cay beach, just a few steps walking if you want to go any other places you can take a taxis bus or any public or private transport from the avenue in front of. I'll suggest take a bus if you like to go to the down town, shipper and easy to get there.

We stay at the third level our bathroom was in the second level, but not big deal, you are in San Andrés to stay outside as much as you can

Perfect place for resting with a sea view if you want to escape the town’s agitation

First of all, the amazing view I had at my room, it was nice waking up to the sea view! Also the decoration of the room and the huge backyard with beach access makes the experience even better. The region is perfect if you are looking for resting and want to escape from the town center and its traffic. Also, the hosts are very welcoming and willing to help you with any doubt and the breakfast is quite good too (the kitty, Lulu, is cute and loves to hang out with the guests)!

The shower is a bit too strong, but the whole experience is so good that it won’t actually make any difference in your stay!

I would rent this rooms again! loved the place easy to find taxis and bus to go to town

Not fancy! But perfect for what we needed! I don't like air conditioner and I prefer a view so I was happy with islander

The house needs some work, like in the bathroom. But everything works ok

Wonderful place to stay

The old wooden vintage house It had character and history and was huge and comfortable m. It’s a 4 storer native house and has a wonderful balcony with great view. Very peaceful and relaxing, away from the noise. The location was great 5 minute walk to the beach. The caretaker David was really friendly and helpful. And Nevis who cooked our breakfast every morning was wonderful: very attentive friendly and lovely.

The only thing I didn’t like was the Windows broken/holes in the room On third floor which weren’t replaced, because the mosquitos came in all the time and my small child and I were bitten and attacked every night. The place could use some color and life, getting rid of some pieces of random furniture in the tip floor. The rooms on second floor are lovely.
